Extreme Teams are prepared to hike, pack, paddle and fly into the remote areas of our world in order to see people come to know Christ. Our teams will be deep in the jungles, high in the mountains, and out in the deserts, bringing God’s Word to this generation. Access will be hard, the food will be exotic and the smiles will be big as we challenge ourselves to go where few have gone, all to see kids saved. Join us for two and a half life-changing weeks of hard-core ministry in the out of bounds areas of our world!
Extreme IMPACT Teams exist to take the gospel "to the Extreme Ends of the earth" in the form of the Book of Hope. A typical day for an Extreme team would involve traveling to a variety of schools during their school hours to present dramas, give personal testimonies and distribute the Book of Hope in front of a classroom or the entire school! For an Extreme Team, that means more extensive travel to get there, reaching people have not been reached by OneHope, and being willing to jump into all these elements with a willing spirit! Extreme IMPACT team members travel on their own to the destination country and meet up with their team to begin ministry on the ground. We train teams on how to perform the dramas and develop a personal testimony through training materials and a training time on the field. The training materials you will receive once you have signed up for a trip will include information on how to go about fund raising, country facts, etc. as well as how to practice for dramas and how to present your personal testimony. A OneHope staff person will accompany you throughout your trip, acting as a leader, organizer and encourager for your team.
Many people have asked, how “extreme” is an Extreme IMPACT Team? and we reply with the following:
- we ask that people sense a calling to reach “all nations” as stated in Matthew 28:19 and not simply attend the trip just to have an adventurous vacation
- we ask that people be in good to excellent physical condition as there is usually walking/hiking involved in order to get to remote locations
- we ask that they be willing, flexible and patient since travel may take extended periods of time
- we ask that they be willing, flexible and patient since housing, while always safe, may be tents or limited on plumbing luxuries
-
we ask that they be willing to experience drastically different cultures and cuisines
